For the past several years, the Headingley Chamber of Commerce has awarded 3 – $1,000 scholarships to graduating youth to help with post-secondary education.   These scholarships have been funded solely from proceeds from the Annual Headingley Community Tournament.

At this year’s tournament, Ray Louie on behalf of the Chamber, presented to the Headingley Community Foundation a cheque for $5,000.  This donation will be used to create a dedicated Scholarship Fund with the HCF.  This will allow the scholarship fund to grow and any donation made to it is now eligible for a tax receipt through the Headingley Foundation.  With the creation of this fund, we are very pleased and proud to be able to ensure that the Chamber’s Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Scholarship program will continue to help our youth.
