The Headingley Chamber of Commerce has always held a strong belief that the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow.  Throughout the years, the Chamber has offered scholarships to graduating students.  From 1996 to 2005 the scholarships were offered to students from the Headingley area.  From 2014 to 2018  Westwood Collegiate, Silver Heights Collegiate and John Taylor Collegiate would each select one student to receive the 3 scholarships.  In 2019, the scholarship qualification criteria was changed. Eligible students are now required to complete an application form,  and provide all of the requested documentation.   The scholarships were also made available to any graduating student who is a resident of the RM of Headingley OR who is a direct family member of any Chamber of Commerce business member or employee of said business.  A Scholarship Selection Committee will review the applications and select the recipients.

In 1996 the first scholarships were awarded to two students in the amount of $150 each.
